The video also shows his parents talking to their older kids in advance about getting a baby brother. In addition, Joy-Anna, who suffered a pregnancy loss with a baby girl in 2019, tells viewers that she was treated by a doctor specializing in high-risk pregnancies.
She and Austin announced their were expecting again in a YouTube video posted on Oct. 5. Titled "Baby #3 Is On The Way." The 13-minute clip showed her finding out that she's expecting during a trip to Alaska with Austin.
In the video, the duo wait patiently for results from a pregnancy test and upon looking at the positive result, Joy-Anna bursts into tears of joy.
Her post announcing the birth of her and Austin's second son comes one week before the couple is set to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary. The two tied the knot after a three-month-long engagement in a May 2017 ceremony that later aired on their family's TLC reality show Counting On.
News of the arrival of the pair's third child also comes two weeks before the June 2 premiere of the Amazon Prime Video documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which features Joy-Anna's sister Jill Duggar Dillard and husband Derick Dillard reflecting on the controversies surrounding the sisters' family, as well as their religious beliefs.
